Maps have a special place in my heart.
When I was growing up, my parents always believed that education was one of the greatest gifts they could give us. My father filled a room with books, built wooden desks for us to study, and covered the walls with maps.
When I was very young, I paid little attention to those maps. I was much more interested in the stories inside the books. One day my father told me something I have never forgotten: maps can take you to those worlds too.
After that, I spent hours looking at maps and imagining places I hoped to visit someday. Maybe the beach. Maybe Europe, if that was not asking for too much.
Years later, I was fortunate enough to visit both—and many more places than I ever imagined.
These fantasy maps are not based on real places, but they remind me of something very real: every journey begins with curiosity. Sometimes a map is simply the first step toward a future discovery.
