These doilies began with real vintage embroidery illustrations found in an antique pattern book. Originally, they were created to decorate fabric, but I could not help imagining them somewhere else.
The designs were so elegant and so beautifully simple that they almost seemed to say, "We could live in your journal too."
I enjoy using tea-dyed finishes because they make new paper feel as though it has already lived a story. Whether placed beneath a handwritten note, a photograph, or a pressed flower, these delicate pieces add warmth while allowing everything around them to remain the focus.
